Conexant Are Supporting Linux (e.g. HP Pavilion dv2000, dv2058ea)
I've mentioned that I haven't been able to get the audio to work properly on my HP Pavilion dv2000 (dv2058ea) laptop under SUSE Linux 10.1. This laptop uses Intel audio hardware and a Conexant codec.
The good news is that Conexant wrote to the 'alsa-devel' to help get Conexant audio devices working under Linux. Tobin Davis, who has been working on the audio drivers for Conexant, will hopefully now be able to provide definitive Conexant audio support for Linux users, and I for one will be grateful to have it.
It's good to have good news stories like this.
